30 minutes from Edinburgh, the imposing Winton House is a Baronial mansion steeped in over 500 years of history.

Winner of 2006 World Travel Award for service and venue facilities, the house is an extraordinary example of a fine Scottish stately home. Over the centuries the house has been managed by two family lines and is still very much in use as a family home today. With a rather austere past, the property was badly burnt due to its association with Mary Queen of Scots during the reign of Henry VIII but now has much more laughter running through its walls, and is a friendly, welcoming venue. With a backdrop of 2,000 acres of rolling East Lothian countryside and forests, it has hosted some marvellous corporate hospitality, training days and functions. Dinners, lunches, barbecues, conferences, product launches and weddings can all be arranged, and Winton Activities are able to create some truly memorable experiences: wild animal hunts in the woods, Highland games, laser paintball and 4x4 driving. Malt whisky and wine tastings are beautifully set amidst the house's stunning 15th-century cellars. Elegant and ornate mouldings adorn the ceilings of the Dining Room and Drawing Room, which make beautiful settings for banquets and receptions. There are a number of additional options for smaller meetings and conferences. The house can accommodate up to 250, and the efficiency and flexibility of the delightful staff really take the service "that little but further."
