About the venue
Queen Victoria and Prince Albert so loved the Isle of Wight that they built themselves a seaside villa in East Cowes.
Osborne House is no ordinary home. A palace-beside-the-sea is a more appropriate description of this exquisite Italianate house. Set in an extensive 342 acre estate on the Isle of Wight, this truly unique venue offers panoramic views over its own private beach on the Solent. Queen Victoria’s role as Empress of India is celebrated in the richly decorated Durbar Room. An intimate event space, the spectacular banqueting table provides a beautiful centrepiece to the room and accommodates up to 24 guests. The stunning Victorian Hall is one of the most sought after wedding venues on the island. Arched windows flood the room with light and double doors lead out into the gardens, providing an amazing backdrop for receptions and drinks. The Duchess of Kent Suite adjoins the hall and can also be used for private celebration. For unforgettable summer balls and banquets the landscaped gardens and lawns are also available for hire for marquee events. Queen Victoria loved to use the lawns for parties so you’ll be following in fine footsteps
